Meaningful Collaboration: The Catalyst Workshop

Facilitated by Anthony Vade & Tahira Endean | Strategy Table Pathways

To move from aspiration to impact, every element of your team must work in harmony. Miss one, and the whole system stalls. The Catalyst Workshop provides a robust, interactive framework to move beyond the “old business mindset” and drive tangible improvement and innovation.

The 3 Keys to Driving Innovation

True innovation isn’t just about having good ideas; it requires a systemic approach. We focus on aligning three critical pillars to ensure collective intelligence is harnessed effectively.

1. Mindset

The Foundation of Adaptation

Our mindset defines how we perceive our team and engage with complexity. Biological and psychological pressures—often fueled by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA)—can actively suppress creative thinking.

2. Method

The Engine of Change

As Abraham Maslow said, “If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.” Method provides the guardrails and roadmap for managing mindset.

3. Momentum

The Drive to Success

Without action, endless design leads to burnout. Shared action is the forward momentum that dictates our success.

Who is at Your Strategy Table?

Collaboration thrives when we understand where we draw our energy. Using the FourSight Thinking Profile, we help individuals identify their natural problem-solving preferences:

  • The Clarifier: Focuses on understanding the core problems, asking the right questions, and gathering critical data.
  • The Ideator: Generates vast amounts of new concepts, exploring wild possibilities and “what-ifs.”
  • The Developer: Refines and stress-tests raw ideas, building practical, workable plans.
  • The Implementer: Takes decisive action, focuses on timelines, and brings the final solution to fruition.

Inside The Catalyst Lab: A Sprint to Innovation

During the workshop, we operate under the Chatham House Rule to foster open dialogue. Teams rapid-sprint through four dynamic phases:

1. Clarify

Identify the true scope and root cause of the challenge to ensure we are solving the right problem.

2. Ideate

Engaging in Divergent Thinking. We defer judgment and strive for pure quantity.

3. Develop

Transitioning to Convergent Thinking. We reframe our biggest concerns into actionable “How to…” statements.

4. Implement

Building the roadmap. We assign ownership and map a realistic timeline to ensure absolute accountability.
